Z64-W V1.83 BIOS update
Dear all NEO Z64-W users,
Here is the official V1.83 BIOS for Z64-W:

1.) This BIOS disabled the ESRT service using by Microsoft update service to avoid wrong BIOS update being pushed to our devices.
Update procedures:
1.) Download the V1.83 BIOS zip package
2.) Extract this package to your Windows' local storage,...

Installing Ubuntu, Freezes, Crashes or Does not Complete
Tried for the last few days, Windows based z64
EIST is disabled (from a post on here else where for issues).
Followed : it gets all the way through then this happens, been trying to install now for 1 full day and 6 hours....
Windows etc is gone, just a clear drive. USB pen with the source etc.

Neo Z64 Windows 10 crash every day
Hello
I bought the Minix Neo z64, for use as server for my Weatherstation.
But i'm totally unsatisfied with it, it crashed every day when i run it for 24/7 so i have to force a shutdown by a batch file every 6 hours. To prevent that the PC is running out of virtual memory, why it runs out of virtual memory when i have 4.5GB of it?
The same errorlog as before with 704MB. And yes i restarted it after the changes!
The developer of the weather station software found out that the problem is not...

Black screen z64 windows 10
So, Im not sure if I did the automatic windows10 setup on this box (2 weeks ago) or if its just out of the box.
Anyway, I just get to my other home for the box and I turned it on and goes straight to a black screen.
Turn the power on and black screen.
I did f11 and got the boot screen
I also pressed the pin hole on the bottom with no reset or change.
What to do before I just send the box back as defective.

Reinstalling Windows on a Bios & Shell only system
Hi, i "screwed up" to say the least, long story short, need to put Windows back on the device, currently only have Bios and Shell, no OS and no partitions to roll back from.
Tried myself to no avail, took to a company here and they tried also to no avail.
What is the procedure for re-installing windows on these boxes?

[SOLVED] Problem shutting down after windows anniversary update
Hi!!
Yesterday my minix z64 updated itself to Windows 10 anniversary update (from windows 10).
Apparently it worked fine. But now when I press “shut down” button option in windows 10 it doesn’t shut down, it does a something like a restart and loads windows again. To shut down the minix I have to remove ac power cord.
How can I solve it?

Windows 10 clean install no audio devices detected
hi, I'm hoping someone here can help me. I have a completely fresh installation of windows 10, all working fine except no audio devices are detected. The box is connected to a TV through an HDMI port. I've tried connecting directly to the TV and audio tried connecting it through a soundbar to see if I could force it to start installing drivers but to no result.
The little speaker icon on these bottom right has a red cross on it, clicking on it brings up the troubleshooter which doesn't...

New Minix Z64 User
Hi Guys, i bought yesterday my first mini PC the Z64w with Windows 10. I did read all of the problems with the Bios problems via the Windows Updates. So i did the Update from this Thread ( http://www.minixforum.com/threads/z64-w-v1-83-bios-update.14525/ ).
But it does not find any Windows Updates now ? What do i have to do now to keep my Z64W up to date ?
And another Problem that i found is when i try to use the Restart Option it won't, it keeps just staying at Restart Loading...

Flashing BIOS
Due to false update by M$, many of affected Z64-W units suffered BIOS fail.
In October, MINIX team helped many users and fixed/flashed their units, but that time has passed.
Unfortunately some users suffered that failure again, like myself, so I'm starting this thread to call on technical staff and other knowledgeable users to help about flashing the affected BIOS on my/their own.
First of all, correct me if I'm wrong, hardware:

MINIX Z64W - Internet Disconnections
Hey,
I bought Minix Z64w before few month.
The connection to the internet was good, but before few days every 5 min the Internet disconnect.
I try also in direct link by cable and also with wifi.
Just to mention, in the apartment there are more computers that works well without any disconnections.

Windows 10 drivers
Hello, after a long time I'm using minix I'm still not able to find a drivers package for windows 10, which should be useful when for some reason I need to reinstall some driver.
Please do something about it.
The last available drivers package I can found is for win 8.1 and windows 10 is out from almost a couple of years.

At first boot, two boxes with no text inside

I've just bought this wonderful machine and now it's running flawlessly.
Just because I'm curious (and maybe it could help someone in my same condition), I wonder why at the very first boot, after some seconds, two empty rectangle boxes appeared on the screen, with no text at all..
I awaited for some minutes, reading the manual instruction inside the Minix package, but found nothing.
Then, I've just decided to be lucky and randomly I click on the left...

Minix Z64 Windows 10 startup function keys
Hello,
my Z64W just arrived and I'll run it today evening.
I have bootable USB with Macrium Reflect Windows PE environment to create Z64W image before the first run.
I would like to know about startup function keys.
As I know:
Del or Esc - enter BIOS.
F9 - Windows restore.
F11 - Boot sequence.
Is above correct?
Maybe something more?

Neo z64 screen resolution
Hi everyone, I'm trying to install my neo on an old screen who is not full HD but hd ready.
I can't find the right proportion for my screen, could someone please help me to solve this little problem? (If it's possible )

Now, i have a z64w that is running fine, and i don't want to change anything, but as a Linux lover i already tested some distros through USB boot. Linux and Android included. Now, the issues.
Booting from USB, no matter if Android cm13, or Lubuntu from linuxium (with the patches already applied by him in the iso) after a minute or two of use, the box freezes. Oddly tought, that didn't happen with openelec.

Minix Z64 Windows 10 Bluetooth Device -Sound is choppy on BT Headset
Hi All
I just encountered a problem with my Bluetooth device on my Minix Z64 (windows 10)
Sound is always choppy when i connect my BT Headset
I tried to connect an external USB BT dongle and it worked great
The question is if it's a Hardware problem or some kind of driver issue
Can someone tell me when can i find updated drivers for windows 10?

WLAN WIFI Speed
Does anyone know the WLAN Speed of the Z64w?
Some days ago I saw the info about running WLAN at 150 MBits/s somewhere in a tool on the Z64 but I cant remember where this info was found... I first thought I had my router set to 150 MBits/s but I checked and the router is set at 300 MBits/s (at 2.4GHz).
Is the Z64 dual band 2.4 and 5GHZ or 2.4GHz only?
